Roy Robbins, 71, of 108 West Grandview died Wednesday January 10, 1968 at 1:10 am in St. Mary Hospital where he had been a patient since December 29, 1967.
Mr. Robbins was born in LaPrairie February 16, 1890, a son of Julius L. and Irene Hill Robbins. He married Florence Young March 18, 1911 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mr. Robbins was a retired railroad engineer. He had lived in QUincy since 1950. He was a member of the Union Methodis Church, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Alpha Lodge No. 155, A.F & A.M. of Galesburg.
Surviving are the widow; a son Leroy W. Robbins of Quincy; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Hartley of Augusta and Mrs. Thelma Skeen of Galesburg; six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Ellison St. George; two brothers, Clem and Theodore Robbins, and foursisters, Mrs. Hazel Bell, Mrs. Gertrude Wetzel, Mrs. Lura Paben and Mrs. Garnett Martin.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 pm in the Kimber-West Funeral Home in Galesburg. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery there.
