1. James Rush OWINGS was born 1844 in OH. He was the son of Thomas Owings. James died 31 Mar 1888 in Quincy, Adams, IL and was buried 2 Apr 1888 in Franklin Cem., Mendon, IL. Entered 7/25/1992 from family group 30. Death Cert 5112 – 1876-1890. Married to Celia E. Anderson. See information from Stackhouse, Phil listed under James’ father, Thomas C. M. Jeffries/Jefferies – which gives as date of birth for James Rush Owings – Mar 1847.
1900 Census; Franklin Township, Clermont, OH, E.D. 28/38, p.4 – had him living with wife Mary who was b. in OH August 1860, and their 6 children all born in OH. James married Celia E. ANDERSON on 6 Sep 1877.
